SANCTUARY – A Legacy of Memories

The rest of the story always lies in the restoration that follows tragedy - that's the crux of my book, Sanctuary with its lost in time setting and colorful characters in idyllic Shiloh, GA (but fictional). In real life, our life story resides within our travails after being knocked down.

The first in the Shiloh mystery series, Sanctuary introduces retired publishing executive Theo Phillips and his wife Liddy as they leave the shadows of Atlanta and return to their South Georgia roots, selecting time-lost Shiloh off the Flint River, south of Albany. Theo’s infatuation into the story of a young coach who lost his life in a tragic fire that razed the town’s historic antebellum courthouse quickly leads Theo and Liddy to discover Shiloh’s advertised tranquility is not as advertised. Greed, jealousy, and revenge force the cast of memorable characters to struggle with 21st Century issues that threaten their tight-knit community.

  1. Sistie,

Thank you for your interest in Sanctuary. Deeds Publishing in Athens, GA is presently preparing it for release, March 2017. We chose not to rush it out to allow adequate time for promoting its release and marrying it to the sequel, Testament, with its planned release by Fall 2017. I and my editor are working on finishing the sequel at the present. I will definitely keep you informed and plan on you receiving an advance copy. If you feel it would appropriate to share with others in Hancock County and Sparta, I’d be glad to plan a visit at an appropriate time and place to introduce the book because of your tragedy helped shape the story. God bless. T M “Mike” Brown
